The Chore Auction

Every chore shows what it pays. Kids pick the jobs they want, any time, and earn the points when a parent checks the work. Chores nobody picks pay a little more every day, so even the yucky jobs get done.

See it in action

1
Take out trashPays 2 now

Nobody has taken out the trash since Monday, so it has gone up from 1 point to 2.

2
I'll do it!Maya

Maya taps I'll do it. The chore is hers right away, for 2 points.

3
I finished it!Check it

Maya takes out the trash and taps I finished it. A parent taps Approve. One tap.

4
Maya earns 2 points16 pts

She now has 16 points. 2 more and she can trade them for an hour of screen time.

Works with the devices you have

A parent's phoneType your PIN once. After that, approving a chore is one tap.
Kids' own tablets or phonesEach one is set up for one kid, so siblings cannot pick chores for each other.
One family computerNo phone? No problem. Kids tap their name and type their own 4-number secret code.

Mix and match. Many families use a parent's phone plus one shared family tablet.

Built to be fair

Always open. No waiting for a weekly round: a chore is yours the moment you pick it.
Chores nobody picks go up in points every day, up to the top pay you set. Waiting can pay more, but a sibling might grab it first.
A work limit counts the size of each job, so one kid cannot grab every chore at once.
Kids take turns: whoever did a chore last time lets someone else have first try.
You can limit a chore to the kids who are old enough for it.
Every point earned or spent is listed, so kids can see how it adds up.

Rewards and screen time

You choose the rewards and what they cost. The app keeps track of points and what each kid buys. You hand out the reward yourself. The app does not lock, unlock, or time any devices.

What you get

  • Works in the web browser on any phone, tablet, or computer. Nothing to install.
  • A private space for your family, an always-open chore board, and one-tap approvals for parents.
  • Questions or help:

Privacy and safety, in plain words

  • The app never asks for last names, addresses, birthdays, or photos. Your family's information (a family nickname, kids' first names, chores, and points) is kept in its own Google Sheet in the app owner's private Google Drive. It is not shared or sold. The app owner can see it in order to give support.
  • Your family link lets a device view your family's chores and points. Treat it like a house key and only share it within your household.
  • Only devices a parent sets up can pick chores. On a family computer, each kid has their own secret code.
  • Parent actions need your PIN, which is stored scrambled and checked on the server. It locks after repeated wrong tries, and you get an email if that happens. Forgot it? We email you a one-time code to choose a new one.
  • We only email you when it matters: things you ask for, and a few security notices. Never weekly emails.
  • You can delete your family and all of its data at any time.
